India recently achieved a significant milestone in its nuclear energy program with the commencement of core loading at the Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR) at Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu. This marks the near completion of India’s first indigenous PFBR, a project undertaken by the Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited (BHAVINI).
