Odisha Government Extends KALIA Scheme for 3 More Years

Bhubaneswar, Odisha: In a move aimed at supporting farmers and agricultural households, the Odisha government has announced a three-year extension of its flagship KALIA scheme. This decision comes ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha and assembly elections in the state.

Boost for Farmers: ₹6,029.7 Crore Allocated

The Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) scheme provides financial assistance to farmers and landless agricultural households in the state. The extension, approved by the state cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, will see an estimated budget of ₹6,029.7 crore allocated for the period 2024-25 to 2026-27.

This extension aims to benefit all farm families under the KALIA scheme, providing them with much-needed financial security and support for agricultural activities.
