About Panchayat 3
Panchayat 3 continues the story of an engineering graduate from the city who finds himself ill-equipped for the realities of village life. After graduation, he takes a low-paying job as a secretary in a Gram Panchayat (village council) in a remote village named Phulera, Uttar Pradesh.
A Look Behind the Scenes
The series strives for authenticity by filming in a real panchayat office located in Mahodiya village, Sehore district, Madhya Pradesh. Sehore itself is roughly 40 kilometers away from Bhopal, the state capital. The series’ soundtrack and score are composed by Anurag Saikia, while cinematography and editing are credited to Amitabh Singh and Amit Kulkarni respectively. Panchayat 3 marks the directorial debut of Deepak Kumar Mishra, who previously helmed the second seasons of “Permanent Roommates” and “Humorously Yours!”
