The Costume Institute Benefit event, also known as the Met Gala 2024, recently disclosed its co-chairs. Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, and Chris Hemsworth have been chosen by the Metropolitan Museum of Art to fulfill this prestigious role. Additionally, the event will be graced by Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew, who have been appointed as the honourary chairs.

Bad Bunny will be celebrating his third year at the Met this year, whereas Hemsworth will make his debut as a co-host. On the other hand, Zendaya has graced the benefit event five times, while JLo holds the impressive record of attending the event 13 times.

What is the Met Gala?

The Met Gala is an annual event organized by the Costume Institute to raise funds. It occurs on the first Monday of May and signifies the commencement of the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition. Under the guidance of Met Trustee Wintour, the event has successfully generated over $223.5 million for the Costume Institute. This year, the Met Gala will be held on May 6th. The theme for the 2024 event remains undisclosed at this time.
